I’m not exactly sure how it happened, but there will in fact be an Underworld 4, and it will be in 3-D.
Well, okay…maybe I DO know how it happened…it probably had a lot to do with the fact that the third one brought in almost a hundred million dollars and had a shooting budget of roughly one third that much, so it’s a money-maker, which means they’re going to move heaven and earth to do more of it. They’re looking at a 2011 release date on this, so plenty of time for news to come out.
There’s not much word yet as to plot or even casting–we’ll let you know when we’ve got something more to say on that–but if we were to hazard a guess (which of course, we will!), Bill Nighy and Michael Sheen would be on the short list, with either Kate Beckinsale or Rhona Mitra coming back in to handle the lead female vampire role. I personally agree with the Rhona crowd, as Beckinsale was only peripherally around for the last one–why would she be back for the new one?
Ah well–lots to keep our eyes on in the near future!

hey uhm just wanted to say when they come out with the fourth one it has to be with kate Beckinsale because there is no story with Rhona MItra…her charcter is dead..and also he movie is picking up where eveolution left off

def kate needs to be in the fourth one the movie is simply better with saleen and michael plus they left the ending of two wide open we need to know what happens next now that michael and saleen are obvioulsy the two most powerful beings…
