Word trickles down from The Hollywood Reporter that Working Title has picked up film rights to Mischa Glenny’s organized crime-themed novel McMafia.
The book focuses on a network of mob criminals in places as diverse as Mumbai, Eastern Europe and Johannesburg. These criminals operate illegal businesses that are equal to about one-fifth of the world’s economy.
No release timeframe was given.
