At a press conference held today in Barcelona, Spain, Woody Allen announced the latest additions to the cast of his newest film, Midnight in Barcelona. The movie, which is set to begin filming July 9th, now has the likes of Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Patricia Clarkson, Chris Messina, and Kevin Dunn on board.
At the press conference today, Woody Allen revealed: “I hope I can present Barcelona to the world as I see it, the same way I presented Manhattan to the world as I saw it with my eyes. I want to write a love letter to Barcelona and from Barcelona to the world.”
Right now, there seems to be a bit of mystery surrounding the film. Few details about the exact nature of the movie’s plot have been revealed. Allen has said, however, that he looks forward to working in Barcelona “with great, great enthusiasm.”
