Will Smith

scienWe’ve all heard some not so nice words about Tom Cruise regarding his religion, Scientology, the controversy even costing him a movie deal with a major company. Will Smith, on the other hand has different views of Scientology stating that it probably isn’t even that much different from the very religion that you live by, unless you’re atheist of course.

Smith goes on to defend Cruise and Scientology by saying that in essence almost all religions are 98% based on the same ideals and just because he practices a different religion it doesn’t make him any less of a great man.

I agree Jeff. Will Smith is a wise man to speak for his friend in the media.

While it’s nice to see Will watching out for his friends, what he has to say is utter ignorance. If I was a Scientologist I would be saying “What?!”, and if I was a Christian (Baptist is what he mentioned) I would also say “What?!” Will should do even a little reading about either of these before making public statements like that.

Then again, I do worry about anyone whoe takes spiritual advice from someone because they act (or rap, as the case may be).

Yes, it is a great idea to pick up a book like Fundamentals of Thought or New Slant on Life and read about the tenets of Scientology.
