Looking to catch a new film at the theater this weekend? It’s slim pickings this weekend, but here’s what you can expect in terms of new choices:
- Rambo – this weekend’s widest release starring writer/director Sylvester Stallone, Julie Benz, and Matthew Marsden. The tomatometer over at RT so far gives this film a 33% rating, with most reviews so far coming in negative.
- Meet the Spartans – Like spoofs? Then this one is for you. It’s from the same guys -Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer – that brought us “Epic Movie.” There aren’t really any reviews on this yet, so who knows what to expect.
- Untraceable – Diane Lane stars as an FBI agent on the hunt for a serial killer.It’s getting more bad reviews than good, with just a 15% rating on RT’s tomatometer.
- How She Moves – this is a limited release film, so you may or may not be able to catch it this weekend, depending on where you live. Nevertheless, it’s a dance themed movie that’s gotten overwhelmingly favorable reviews thus far, and scored a nice 72% rating on RT’s tomatometer.
If you were going to decide what movie to see based purely on reviews, it looks like “How She Moves” is the best bet so far. But you can’t always trust the critics, and might find any of the others to be suitable to your tastes.
