Wes Anderson’s “The Darjeeling Limited” Trailer
July 24th, 2007 in Movies, Trailers
Hitting theaters in late September is Wes Anderson’s latest film, The Darjeeling Limited. Starring in the film is Owen Wilson, Adrian Brody, and Jason Schwartzman, who play three brothers trying to work out their differences by taking a train ride through India. Sounds kinda weird, but knowing Anderson, he can certainly pull off “weird” very well. Judging from the trailer, working out their problems will taking some doing…. mace in the face can’t be a sign of anything close to reconciliation.
So while you’re waiting patiently for the September 29th theatrical release to roll around, check out the new trailer:

I have to say this looks VERY disappointing. There’s not one truly amusing joke, whereas all his other films had excellent trailers. This film looks like its focusing more on the bond, and is trying to be more genuine, like the closing minutes of The Life Aquatic. I fear Mr Anderson may be taking himself too seriously now, and is disappearing up himself.
