From Variety comes word that Paul Weitz (About a Boy) is in talks to helm Little Fockers, the third installment in the Meet the Parents franchise.
He replaces Jay Roach, who helmed the first two. A while back, Get Smart director Pete Segal was considered to helm the project. Weitz will direct once he wraps up work on the Robert de Niro and Casey-Affleck led adaptation of Nick Flynn’s novel Another Bullshit Night in Suck City.
Little Fockers will see Robert de Niro, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Teri Polo and Blythe Danner reprise their roles. John Hamburg is currently rewriting Larry Stuckey’s script.
