The Wayans, moving on from their previous endeavors, are reportedly finishing up a third script draft of their feature film version of The Munsters, a classic ‘50s sitcom.
"I’m almost ready. It’s almost ready to be shot. We had to finish this movie and now we’re going through our third polish on The Munsters," said Shawn Wayans.
The project is being billed as a modern day reboot of the classic characters. The brothers themselves won’t star in the movie and the characters aren’t going to be black.
"We’re not gonna make The Munsters black all of a sudden,” he explained. “They’re gonna be green, white people just like they were in the TV show. Their characters are still who they were in the ’50s. It’s just in modern day."
