Warner Bros. has picked up the sword-and-sandal action film Odysseus, which utilizes the character from Homer’s ‘The Iliad’ and ‘The Odyssey’ – the famed king of Ithaca.
The film will focus on the king’s return home, only to find it under occupation from invaders. He then proceeds to single-handedly defeat every last man and take back his family and kingdom.
The script has been penned by Ann Peacock; Jonathan Liebesman is set to direct once he wraps up work on Battle: Los Angeles.
