The release of “Valkyrie” has been pushed back to October 3, 2008 because a very important battle scene still needs to be shot. Tom Cruise plays, the Nazi officer part of a plot to shoot Adolf Hitler.

Bryan Singer, the director, needs to shoot a scene that explains how Cruise’s character, lost his eye and hand while fighting in Africa.

Singer will shoot the scene in February even though the rest of the production wrapped in October.

Moving “Valkyrie” to October means the picture will open at the beginning of awards season. Here is the trailer, “Valkyrie”
