As unlikely as it may sound, Uma Thurman’s actually got a role together for her next movie, Motherhood.
She’ll be playing a weary mother who starts blogging about her experiences as a weary mother, and the blog takes off because she’s preaching to the choir of other weary mothers out cruising the blogosphere.
And I think we can all agree that bloggers make incredible movie fodder, because after all, The Great Celebrity Twitter War captured the attention of an entire nation not six months ago.
Wait…you forgot about The Great Celebrity Twitter War? Oh…you never even HEARD of The Great Celebrity Twitter War. Yeah, there’s a reason–almost no one really cared about it. Even the people who wrote about it don’t really care about it.
That’s not to say you can’t make a good movie around blogging; I’m sure there’s a way to make an interesting one. But for now, I don’t look for Uma’s mommy blog movie to do very well. Not unless she can get a legion of mommies to get babysitters and get out to see it.
