I’ve never really been a fan of movie sequel titles, especially the Tron sequel being ridiculously named “Tr2n”. Thankfully, the producers got it through their head that it was an awful title, and chose a much more sensible name, “Tron Legacy”, at this year’s Comic-Con.
Along with the rename, the panel over at Comic-Con showed off a new footage revealing details about the movie’s plot. If you want a peek at that, you’ll have to wait for a leak or the official release by Walt Disney Studios. No new 3D footage was released.
“We’ve probably got three or four things in this movie that have never been done before, and we’re doing them all at the same time,” director Joe Kosinski said. “I promise you that next year at Comic-Con you’ll see some things you haven’t seen before.”
The sequel for the 1982 sci-fi film is still scheduled for a 2010 release, so keep an eye out for it.
