
Ben Vereen, Cris Judd and Vitamin C have been tapped to serve as judges on Lifetime’s dance-competition show “Your Mama Don’t Dance.” Series starts with an eight-week run on Feb. 29.
“Mama†pairs 10 young professional dancers and one of their non-pro parents in a competition to claim a $100,000 top prize. Ian Ziering hosts According to Lifetime, the younger contestants were given the old bait and switch. They were told they would be competing by themselves on a dance competition show dubbed “Dance Nation.”
Late last month contestants who made the cut in the audition process gathered in L.A. and were informed they’d be partnered with a parent. Vereen is a Tony-winning Multi-talented whose recent credits include guest shots on “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Law & Order: SVU.” Judd is a choreographer and actor recently seen on Nickelodeon’s “Unfabulous” and other comedy shows. Vitamin C is an actress-singer known for pop hit “Graduation (Friends Forever).” .Â
