It appears that Shia LaBeouf’s injury is causing a bigger delay to the shooting of Transformers 2 than was originally thought. The trades are reporting that first unit filming on the film has been put on a four week – one month – hiatus. However, the second unit, which includes shots like scenery, close-ups of objects and other such things, is continuing.

LaBeouf was recently injured in a car accident. His injury was originally thought to have caused a few week’s delay, with the first unit still shooting other scenes without him. It is not known if this delay will affect the release of the film next year.
