Trailer Review: Shrek The Third

The Shrek franchise – and make no mistake that’s exactly what it is – currently has a two for two record. The sequel didn’t quite match the original, but it was still good stuff. Common sense would say don’t spoil that.

The trailer for Shrek The Third suggests Dreamworks have given up on originality and decided to fall into the old routines. There’s Pinocchio and his nose, there’s Donkey being an ass, there’s Puss in Boots doing the sad eyes thing. All your favourites. Nothing original.

I hope I’m wrong, but either prepare yourself for disappointment or start looking forward to Bee Movie instead.
