Up until that scene, I thought it was a drama but quickly realized this movie was meant to be a comedy--ridiculously, overflated and totally outrageously unbelievable fake. Totally absurb... Well, the series has been about tension, true. But this doesn't really seem like much of a departure. All of these films have had explosions (case in point, the famous scene of Willis strapped to an airline seat, flying into the air as the plane explodes underneath him.) They have had various vehicle oriented crashes (buses, snow mobiles, planes.) And if they have to make another Die Hard flick (must we?) it would have to be somewhat different in a post-9/11 world. So, there you go. Will people go see it? Now there's the biggest difference between this movie and the first. “Quite a departure from the original Die Hard…”
