Remember the classic sci-fi film Total Recall starring the ever-lovable Arnold Schwarzenegger? The new generation may not, and that’s why the 1990 sci-fi classic is getting a remake at Sony Pictures.
The contemporary version is being developed by Neal H. Moritz. The original, which starred Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone, was based on a Philip K. Dick story which followed a man haunted by a recurring dream of travelling to Mars. He buys a dream vacation from a company called Rekall Inc, which sells implanted memories and comes to believe he is a secret agent and ends up on a Martian colony, fighting to overthrow a despotic ruler.
