“Torn Apart” DVD Release on October 2nd.

Here’s some quick entry. Torn Apart, a film starring Adrian Pasdar (Heroes) and Golden Globe Nominee Cecilia Peck, is going to be released on October 2, in DVD. The DVD is released by City Lights Home Entertainment and SpecialOpsMedia.

The story is about lovers Torn Apart by the harsh realities of day-in, day-out Middle Eastern turmoil. Pasdar is vibrantly heroic as Ben, a 21-year-old soldier torn between what duty and his heart tell him to do.  As Laila, Peck is the perfect complement to Ben: thoughtful where he is headstrong, vulnerable where he is bold.

This is a must see movie for everyone. It is not a perfect film in every sense, its more of a love story intertwined to a war movie in the West Bank. It shows us insights to the struggle between the Jews and the Arabs that will make you pause and perhaps see things in a different light. It does not attempt to tell the whole story of the struggle, but provides and interesting point of view from both sides, mainly the side of love between two people who are in an impossible position at the border.

An essential viewing for those with any interest in the human side of middle east conflict.
