In today’s first bit of serial killer news, Tom Cruise and United Artists have purchased the rights to Monster of Florence, a thriller that recounts the story of eight double homicides believed to have been committed between 1968 and 1985 in and around the Italian Renaissance gem.
Written by Douglas Preston (co-author of The Relic), the project was not confirmed by United Artists, but it is being reported that Chris McQuarrie (Valkyrie) is adapting the screenplay, with Cruise producing and possibly starring as well.
