International sales of Takashi Miike’s upcoming samurai film Thirteen Assassins will be handled by Hanway Films, reports Variety, which means the States will be able to partake in the bloody action.
The film is based on Eiichi Kudo’s 1963 film which is set in the shogun era. It follows thirteen assassins who come together for a suicide mission to kill an evil lord.
Jeremy Thomas and Toshiaki Nakazawa are onboard to produce. Shooting starts this summer in Japan’s Yamagature Prefecture.
