John Carpenter’s They Live, cult film of 1988, is leaning toward remake mode from Universal and studio-based Strike Entertainment.

A true Carpenter film, part sci-fi thriller and part social satire, weaved a story of a down-on-his-luck construction worker, starring Roddy Piper.  He discovers glasses that allows him see aliens walking among us and controlling humanity. The construction worker races against the clock to find a way to stop them.

If you are a Carpenter fan you will recall the popular shotgun scene in a bank with the line, “I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass … and I’m all out of bubblegum.”
