Taking a different approach to the whole superhero thing is producer Michael Uslan, who told MTV that the new film adaptation of classic radio superhero serial The Shadow will be very different from most other films of the genre.
“I think the one thing going in is we all see The Shadow as more of a force of nature than a specific person in a secret identity,” he said. “The Shadow may actually be many people.”
He added that they are going back to the “pulp… comic book roots… with a dash of the radio roots.”
The film is being set up at Sony Pictures with Sam Raimi set to produce. Siavash Farahani is currently working on the screenplay.
