So it’s merrily we go back to the Halloween Horror Nights 2008 short horror film contest for another installment, and today, we’re talking about The Crew.

And in The Crew, things are going to get just a little too real for a couple of actors on a horror film set when the director decides that method acting just won’t cut it…and switches to a documentary.

This is actually kind of a surprise.  In retrospect, it’s sort of a predictable surprise, but it’s definitely not the kind of thing that anyone else has done a whole lot of lately.  It’s actually pretty scary, mostly because of its sheer uniqueness.  The acting is solid and the playback looks good, especially for a clearly low-budget horror short.

The Screenhead Ten Scale, thusly, hands over a seven out of ten for this fantastic effort, and if these guys ever go feature, I definitely want to see how that one turns out.
