CHUD cites a ”persistently reliable source” as notifying them that Christian Bale as Robin Hood is a no-go. They don’t offer any more details, but notes that further information is in the pipeline as to who Ridley Scott will cast as the infamous bandit.
The rumor started a few days ago when The Daily Mail broke word that Ridley Scott was hoping to cast the Batman star in Nottingham, his reimagining of the famous Robin Hood story. The film is set to give Robin Hood a dark personality, while showing the villain of the stories, Sheriff of Nottingham, as a noble character having to work for a tyrant.
