In today’s first bit of interesting casting rumor, The Daily Mail reports that Ridley Scott is hoping to cast Christian Bale as Robin Hood in his upcoming reimagining of Nottingham.
Sienna Miller was cast earlier this week to play Maid Merion who will be in the center of a love triangle with Robin Hood and the Sheriff, who will be played by Russell Crowe.
The film will paint the Sheriff of Nottingham as a more noble character forced to work for a tyrant, while Robin Hood will be shown to be a dark and dangerous personality. No release date is yet attached with the film, which is yet to go into shooting.
