The B-52’s, pioneers of the New Wave genre from the late 70s to mid 80s, rises again after 16 yrs to give you their unique blend of rock, hippie, ska, reggae, pop,funk music in their album ‘Funplex‘.
The B-52’s first graced the ears in 1979 with their underground debut album and hit single “Rock Lobster“.
‘Funplex‘ was recorded in their native Athen,GA with all 11 songs written by Kate Pierson, Fred Schneider, Keith Strickland and Cindy Wilson. In this album, you will find the band perform in a vigorous forward stance while staying true to the party-rock style that influenced such current bands as LCD Soundsystem, Interpol and The Scissor Sisters.
