Teaser Trailer for Terminator Salvation is available at Yahoo — check it out!
Shooting has began for the film with Christian Bale as John Conner. McG is directing and has a blog. I recommend visiting his blog to get the low-down. The movie appears to be everything a true fan wants to see in T4.

I’m still not convinced. Sure, the visuals are decent, but the prospect of McG directing revolts me. At best we’re going to get a bombastic action movie that’s all spectacle and little character. What made T1 and T2 so good was its sense of character vulnerability, we felt their fear, their confusion. McG’s features have either been vacuous (Charlie’s Angels) or melodramatic (We Are Marshell).

You must admit that Charlie’s Angels and We Are Marshell are contrasting enough to see the director can be versatile.
We are Marshall is based on a true story while Charlie’s Angels is just pure fantasy.
I don’t think I have to be convince but what I see (fact that Cameron “consulted” the script/casting) is that it’ll be a better movie than T3.
T1 and T2 are marvelous films that show the human side with poignant circumstances. The technology of film at the time couldn’t override the film’s story.

There is one thing that links Charlie’s Angels 1, 2, and Marshell: they’re all crap
I’m not convinced that this movie will be better than T3. T3 was by no means a great movie, but it had a very interesting ending, and they did have a good idea for the new Terminator.
But all the trailer tells me of T4 is that we’ll get an action-fuelled film. What made T2 one of the best films made is its balance of action, character, and story.
Now, I’m basing all this on a 60 second trailer, so obviously I can’t be sure, but while McG has attempted to show versatility in genre, he hasn’t shown any ability to engage by way of story or character in any convincing way.

I can see what you mean by the trailer. Yes, T2 engaged the audience in everyway.
Perhaps, McG background in music videos isn’t the best foundation to have in moviemaking nor the fact that he has a degree in psychology.
