He drew parallels between his character in Transformers, noting how both characters are essentially “the ordinary guy in an extraordinary situation” and that he might be “too old to play the role by the time [the movie] comes around.”

Director and writer D.J. Caruso and Carl Ellsworth, respectively, still remain attached to the project. It follows the last man on earth after a plague wipes out all men on the planet.

Alicia Keys in Y: The Last Man?

ythelastman UGO reports that film producer JC Spink wants singer Alicia Keys to play Agent 355 in Y: The Last Man, the film adaptation of the comic book series that details the exploits of the last guy on earth.

"I think Alicia Keys would be fantastic," he said. "Or Zoe Saldana. By then Star Trek will be out and she’ll be huge. I don’t think Jada Pinkett Smith would be right but a lot of people like her".

As for rumors circulating Shia LaBeouf’s involvement, Spink commented that they are trying to get him on board.
