Filling London with plastic Easter eggs, Uncle Nezzer is on a rampage to make Easter “bigger than ever!” But just how hard can his mechanical chickens work before they’re…well, fried? In just one unforgettable day and night, Cavis and Millward (Bob and Larry) and a music box angel named Hope (voiced by Rebecca St. James) must convince Nezzer that Easter is about more than just candy and eggs.  Inspired by Dickens’ Christmas classic, this very special VeggieTales film explains why millions of Christians around the world celebrate Easter past, present and future.

Available on DVD in stores everywhere Feb. 10th from Big Idea, Inc., Abe and the Amazing Promise features the voice of nationally syndicated radio host “Delilah”.

Join Bob the Tomato as his patience is tested while he brings the Bible story of Abraham and Sarah to life due to some spitting camels and zany French peas!

My daughter was engaged in the movie the whole time with her friends.  They all talked about “keeping your promise” after the movie.

Screenhead is sponsoring a giveaway of Abe and the Amazing Promise. Post your name and we will pick the winner Sunday, March 1, 2009.

Post number 40, Linda, is the winner. Congratulations!!!

I loved all your messages about winning Veggie Tales for your grandkids, kids, nieces and nephews. I wish everyone could have won.

Veggie Tales DVDs are all very special and perfect for kids of all ages.

Keep checking back at Screenhead because I will have more kid stuff to giveaway!!!

This is what Linda won:

Tomato Sawyer and Huckleberry Larry’s life on the lazy river takes a turn for adventure when they help a stranger in need. With unexpected twists around every bend, they discover that while helping others may not be the easiest thing to do, it’s always the right thing to do!

My seven year old daughter enjoyed the story. She owns a couple of other Veggie Tales DVDs, so she knew what to expect. She watched Big River Rescue from beginning to the end and told me that (plot spoiler) Jim is allergic to turkey jerky and he didn’t steal the turkey jerky. All in all, she had fun watching Veggie Tales.  She even told me her favorite part in the movie was the silly song — The Biscuit of Zazzamarandabo.
