Creation is based on the Charles Darwin biography by Randal Keynes’ “Darwin, His Daughter and Human Evolution.”
Creation is directed by British filmmaker Jon Amiel of Queen of Hearts and Sommersby. The screenplay was written by John Collee of Master and Commander and Happy Feet.
Distribution is not set yet for the US although it will release in the UK in September.

STYD reports that horror film Mum & Dad will make its way across the pond once it opens in the UK on December 26. Its distributor Revolver Entertainment is gunning for a May 9, 2009 release in the US. No mention was made whether it will be released in theaters or direct-to-DVD.
The film, written and directed by Steven Sheil, tells the story of a perverted family who kidnap, torture and ultimately murder their victims. It tells the story through a kidnapped young office cleaner who is drawn into their sick, perverse world.
