Nicolas Cage is awesome in this movie trailer. He’s wicked and Herzog even offers reasons for the lieutenant’s demise. This movie will rock at the box office – it looks great. But I don’t know if I could sit through it and watch a man’s self-destruction – too painful. The movie opens November 20, 2009.
Jesse Eisenberg stars and narrates Zombieland, which appears to be a hilarious movie also starring Woody Harrelson. Just the other night I watched Eisenberg in The Hunting Party with Richard Gere and Terence Howard. I thought he was great and wanted to see him in more movies. Sure enough, here he is in Zombieland. Enjoy the hilarious trailer.
Uh-oh, folks…we’ve got some serious problems here. Seems that virtually all the early buzz around the trailers and such for G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra has been almost universally negative. And worse yet, Paramount will be running critics’ screenings for the sci-fi actioner, but they’ll only be running them about a week before the movie opens, leaving in some cases precious little time to release reviews ahead of deadline.
For those of you out there who don’t follow the industry, or aren’t film critics like myself, if a studio won’t put up a movie for critics’ screenings, that generally means they’re not counting on it to do very well. They want to get one big weekend out of it to try and get its shooting budget back, but then word of mouth–not to mention the delayed critics’ reaction–will kick in and pretty much sink repeat business.
The excuses are already flying hot and fast around this one’s nigh-inevitable financial castigation, including my personal favorite: “We wuz trying to beat the writer’s strike!”
Way to pass the buck, fellas…anyway, we won’t have too much longer to wait to see just how this one turns out–you know I’ll be hitting this one opening day for you.
For all Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana fans, this show by Disney is hitting the big screens this April 10. Among the stars lined up to appear include: Miley Cyrus, Emily Osment, Margo Martindale, Jason Earles, Peter Gunn, Melora Hardin, Mitchel Musso, Lucas Till, Barry Bostwick, Moises Arias, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, Vanessa Williams, Billy Ray Cyrus.
Walt Disney Pictures takes the Disney Channel phenom to the big screen in a feature film extravaganza. Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus) struggles to juggle school, friends and her secret pop-star persona; when Hannah Montana’s soaring popularity threatens to take over her life—she just might let it. So her father (Billy Ray Cyrus) takes the teen home to Crowley Corners, Tenn., for a dose of reality, kicking off an adventure filled with the kind of fun, laughter and romance even Hannah Montana couldn’t imagine.
This is fun and number one at the box office.
The topic is not my favorite subject but the trailer is funny. I like the lead character; he comes across innocent and young. He’s has a funny scene in the trailer as the doughnut guy.
