Serious Moonlight movie trailer does not give this movie justice.  We have some talented actors here, but the movie is not coming together in its trailer.

The story is about a high-powered lawyer named Louise (Meg Ryan) arrives at her country home for a romantic weekend getaway, things don’t go exactly as planned. First, her husband of 13 years, Ian (Timothy Hutton), tells her that he’s leaving her for a younger woman (Kristen Bell).

Then, one thing leads to another, and pretty soon Ian finds himself held captive by an oddly cool Louise who explains that she won’t release him until he professes his love for her and commits to working on their marriage. And that’s when things start to go wrong.

The unexpected arrival of an opportunistic young gardener (Justin Long) and Ian’s impatient mistress only serve to complicate the crisis even further, while somehow forcing Louise and Ian to reckon with their past and realistically deal with their future.

The movie opens December 4, 2009.

LymeLife is a Must See!

Mixing comedy with the manner of growing up, Lymelife is a a funny, biting and loving tribute to the American family directed by Derick Martini, making his directorial debut. Award-winning filmmakers Derick and his brother Steven collaborated on the script based on their experiences growing up on suburban Long Island.

“Lymelife,” a story about the dark side of suburban paradise and the loss of innocence centers on two deeply troubled, dysfunctional families during the late 1970s. The film revolves around an awkward, sensitive 15-year old boy, Scott Bartlett (Rory Culkin), whose family life is turned upside-down after an outbreak of Lyme disease hits the community spreading illness and paranoia.

Scott’s parents — a workaholic father, Mickey (Alec Baldwin) and an overprotective mother, Brenda (Jill Hennessy) — are on the verge of a divorce as his older brother Jim (Kieran Culkin) is about to ship off for war. Complicating matters, Scott has fallen in love with his next door neighbor, Adrianna Bragg (Emma Roberts). Adrianna seems to be the only person in the world who understands Scott demonstrated by her equally troubled, less affluent family including an uptight mother, Melissa (Cynthia Nixon), carrying on a not-so-clandestine love affair, and a father, Charlie (Timothy Hutton), slowly slipping away from the effects of Lyme disease. Both profoundly funny and deeply moving, “Lymelife” looks at first love and family dynamics during a time of drastic economic and cultural change.

TNT’s Leverage

“Well, I read the script last year in the fall and pretty much by page three I thought, this is pretty great,” Oscar winner Timothy Hutton talks about his role in TNT’s Leverage. “I like the character I was reading, Nate Ford.  And I like the set up.  I like the idea, this guy having once been an insurance investigator, now working with these hackers and these thieves and these con artists.  And I – it was a pretty well-rounded story for me, a lot of drama, a lot of levity, as well.  It felt like a good caper story.  So it was something that I was interested in right away.”

I just viewed the first two shows of Leverage which premieres Sunday, December 7 at 10:00 PM, and then all new episodes on Tuesdays beginning December 9 at 10:00 PM. The story line is similar to Mission Impossible with disguises and stings to help someone in need.
