More previous work of the late Heath Ledger is surfacing once again. Screenhead introduced Ledger’s King Rat, an animated short, some time ago.
Now, Cause and Effect has surfaced in the news today.
Ledger was known for saying “Talent begets Talent.” The Godfather of Australasian Hip Hop – Nfamas of 1200 Techniques – made a decision to go out on his own as No Fixed Abode. He approached his childhood friend, the late Heath Ledger, to direct his first music video.
Ledger loved to immense himself in music, and reportedly he believed in Nfa’s talent and ability to become a Hip Hop star on his own. Together, with Ledger as director, they created Nfa’s first music video Cause and Effect. Clearly we can see Ledger’s talent as an artistic director and the potential future he had as a director. The ability Ledger had to boldly embody the No Fixed Abode fundamental spirit, is very clear in this extraordinary music video.
It’s sad to lose such talent as Ledger, but at least we have the spirit of his work today that will live forever.
The Dark Knight brought the highest number of dollars to any midnight showing, $18.5 million. The Batman movie even beat out Revenge of the Sith, which brought in $16.9 million on its midnight showing.
The cape crusader is in for a huge money making weekend. Christian Bale is fantastic as Batman, and I always enjoy Michael Caine. However, watching Heath Ledger in his posthumous performance as The Joker will be hard for me. Such a talented actor who is sorely missed.
From World Entertainment News Network, the powers-that-be at Warner Brothers have chosen not to alter the final cut of the new BATMAN film, despite one disturbing scene that features the late Heath Ledger pretending to be dead.
Early screenings of “The Dark Knight” left some film fans reeling after they saw footage of Ledger, as The Joker, hiding out in a body bag.
That prompted internet speculation about whether studio heads would cut the scene to avoid upsetting sensitive Ledger fans.
But a source close to the production tells website MovieHole.net, “The film remains intact – and nothing of Ledger’s will be cut from the movie, including the body bag scene.”
The source adds, “I know for a fact that that scene is in the film. I also know that WB has made no such mandate and that (director) Chris Nolan is honest when saying that he will not change what was intended with The Joker.”
