Here is my take on the soundtrack, which I love listening to while I work.
While I write away at my computer, I am listening to the CLONE WARS Soundtrack and it’s fantastic piece to have while I work. Very upbeat with similar tones of John Williams makes the whole experience worthwhile. I mean with titles like Seedy City Swing or Jabba’s Palace it’s an adventure.
The theatrical release of STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS- the first-ever animated feature from Lucasfilm Animation and the newest chapter in the ongoing Star Wars Saga – will be accompanied by a deluxe 67-minute soundtrack album package (with exclusive fold-out poster) that will be available at all physical and digital outlets starting August 12th through Sony Classical.
STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS – ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACKwill contain the iconic main theme by John Williams, followed by more than 30 separate music cues composed by Kevin Kiner. Kiner is known for his work on such television series as Stargate SG-1, Star Trek: Enterprise, Superboy and CSI: Miami. Track titles (below) give a sense of the action and scope and characters of the new film.

Just when you think George Lucas has gone far enough…
A long time ago in a galaxy quite close I spent some time as a child recuperating from an operation, and I spent a day watching all three Star Wars films in a row. It was a joy, a delight, my discomfort completely bypassed by being engrossed in a fantastic world. I had joined the millions of people who held these films close to their heart, and their inner child. Then came the prequel trilogy, which felt wrong. Perhaps it was the terrible dialogue, the awful attempts at humour, the inability to emote with anyone (we had no Han Solo wise-cracking character), etc. Despite the financial success (and some delusions by fanboys that the final film, Revenge of the Sith, was actually good in any way), I had hoped that Lucas, as he once claimed, would quit the Star Wars business and move on. However, like malaria, or a latent fungus, Lucas gets revenge on those who still had good feelings for the original trilogy by giving us Star Wars: The Clone Wars, an animated film kick-starting a forthcoming TV series of the same name.
The plot is rather flimsy, but it’s set in between Episode 2 and 3 of the prequel trilogy. Annakin Skywalker is a teenager and refining his fantastic abilities with master Obi Wan Kenobi. In the midst of a war against an uprising against the Intergalactic Republic, Obi Wan and Annakin are sent to investigate the kidnap of a key ally’s (Jabba the Hut, the big blob from Return of the Jedi) child. However, Annakin has been mistakenly assigned a trainee Jedi of his own, the sprightly teenage girl Ahsoka Tano.
I had mild hopes for this flick. Despite the rather poor animation evident in the trailers, this is the first Star Wars film in 25 years that Lucas didn’t write or direct. Perhaps in leaving the franchise with the fans, we could get something a bit more entertaining. Alas, the clunky animation is one of the least irritating aspects of the film. The animated story “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” world premiere is at the Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard this Aug. 10, five days before it opens in other theaters.
The premiere is a benefit for American Cinematheque, a film organization based at the Egyptian, which opened in 1922. The Egyptian was one of two Los Angeles theaters where the first “Star Wars” sequel, “The Empire Strikes Back,” played on its extended run in 1980.

Star War fans in Japan who are looking forward to the “Star Wars: Clone Wars” TV series will be shown in part at the Star Wars Celebration in Japan, a three-day event in Tokyo starting July 19th.
Director David Filoni will join Japanese animator Atsushi Takeuchi in a Q&A on the production of Clone Wars.
Just a glimpse of the series is all they will see, which might not be that enticing since one can easily get a glimpse from Warner Bros. official site promoting “Star Wars: The Clone Wars. However, the Q&A with Filoni is definitely enticing.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars opens in the theaters August 15th.
