It’s apparent that Guy Ritchie created a wildly, raucous movie about Sherlock Holmes.  The mix of suspense, laughter and craziness makes this movie a gem for the holiday season.  Jude Law and Robert Downey, Jr. play brilliantly off each other — a true kinship has formed.

sherlock-(4)The newest Sherlock Holmes poster for the Internet is brilliantly crafted. The poster shows all the characters in the background involved in the movie with Dr. Watson (Jude Law) and Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey, Jr.) in the foreground.

Excitement is brewing because the word coming from Warner Bros. is that Guy Ritchie has created a pearl of a movie for everyone to enjoy and be entertained.  Sure it’s a re-imaging of a tale told many times, but this time the tale is told with flair and guts.

Nothing could be better than teaming Law and Downey. If you don’t think so yet, we’ll find out on Christmas Day.

guyritchieGuy Ritchie movies seem to be taking hold of Hollywood with his next follow-up to Sherlock Holmes being Lobo, which begins production early next year.

The character originated in 1983 in “Omega Men,” written by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen. Lobo has morphed into several comic personifications. In film comic book enthusiasts can recall him as a seven-foot tall, blue-skinned, indestructible and heavily muscled anti-hero who drives a supped upped motorcycle. He lands on Earth in search of four fugitives who are bent on causing nothing but havoc. But never fear! Lobo teams with a small town teenage girl to stop the creatures.  Go Figure!

Robert Downey, Jr. introduces Sherlock Holmes footage at Comic-Con2009 and he is tripping on the crowd. The crowd is going unbelievably wild over him.  After seeing this clip of his introduction, I am excited and want to see the movie.

Some websites are negative about the movie, but I am not.  Sherlock Holmes is a icon.  He is a fictional character that has become a legend, almost to the point that some people actually believe he is a real person.  Even Downey indicates such  in this clip.  Now is the time to see a movie about this fellow.

I believe this is the last character poster for Sherlock Holmes.  Rachel McAdams looks rather dandy and mystic. What is she up too?  I am sure if you watch the trailer that is roaming around the Internet, you will know Adler is up to no good and quite a handful for Mr. Holmes.

Anyway, the dynamic new portrayal of Conan Doyle’s famous characters in Sherlock Holmes sends Holmes and his stalwart partner Watson on their latest challenge. Revealing fighting skills as lethal as his renowned intellect, Holmes will battle as never before to bring down a new archenemy and unravel a fatal plot that could ruin the country.

“Crime Will Pay” can be rather ambivalent statement, but I hope Dr. Watson means it in the best of terms.

‘Nothing Escapes Him’ is a perfect phrase to describe Sherlock Holmes.  Downey, Jr.’s look is fabulous, very old but fresh.  Guess when the movie opens?

Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law are brilliant in this movie.  Guy Ritchie has created a suspenseful and thrilling movie that is sure to shake the rafters in the movie theaters.
