All I can think about Friday’s box office results is: What happened to The Final Destination? It didn’t even make the top five. Tyler Perry’sI Can Do Bad All By Myself shines brightly at the top as it should be. This is Perry’s sixth movie to do so. Bad All By Myself looks great. It’s funny and endearing. And, I am very excited about Shane Acker’s 9 being in second place.

The next stitchpunk of the group to introduce is visionary 6 voiced by Crispin Glover. Although reclusive and eccentric, his bursts of artistic inspiration through drawings made from his pen nib hands may be keys to help his fellow stitchpunk beings navigate their darkest hours.

Shane Acker’s 9 introduced another character from the movie. Little 8 came into being for the purpose to protect the rag dolls from the evil machine uprising. He wields a meat cleaver and half a scissor, a none-too-bright muscle and enforcer of the group, 8, is created to help the others physically survive the dangerous, post-apocalyptic world.

I am happy I located this trailer to share with you because I like Acker’s style. He directed the film from a script he co-wrote with Pamela Pettler (Corpse Bride). The familiar voices you hear from the characters are Elijah Wood, John C. Reilly, Jennifer Connelly, Crispin Glover, Christopher Plummer, and Martin Landau. 9 arrives in the movie theaters September 9th.
