The Friday box office said “yes” to Disney’s The Proposal marking the best ever Sandra Bullock film opening day and the best ever romantic comedy opening during June-August since 1999 with Runaway Bride starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere.  Ryan Reynolds also stars in the romantic comedy and a lot of attention has been on him lately,  most likely he deserves some create for Proposal’s record opening as well as the other stellar cast: Betty White, Mary Steenburghen and Craig T. All About Steve Trailer

Following up on our last report, it appears Sandra Bullock won’t be in Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables. However, Stallone himself has confirmed that Oscar winner Forest Whitaker will be a part of the cast after all.

Whitaker is now set to play the CIA liaison who sends the group of mercenaries to South America to overthrow an evil dictator. The cast also includes Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and many others.

Stallone also revealed that he is trying to get Sir Ben Kingsley onboard the project. Shooting begins next month.

Sandra Bullock is Expendable?

JoBlo reports that Sylvester Stallone is after Demolition Man co-star Sandra Bullock to join him in The Expendables, his upcoming action film. Stallone has so far lined up Jason Statham, Jet Li, Forest Whitaker, Randy Couture and Dolph Lundgren for the film which tells the tale of mercenaries on a mission to take down an evil dictator.

Bullock would play a government agent on the hunt for Stallone’s crew. However, her participation in the film is yet to be a “done deal”, but hopefully it should go through.

Sylvester Stallone also stars in the film and will direct it.
