Sam Worthington is looking good in a collection of posters. First Showing has a whole collection of them and they are worth a look. Some sites have had to take them off their site because Warner Bros. made a strong request to do so.
Apparently, they are not the official posters, but creative mock-ups for decision makers, I suspect.
I don’t know how long these will be available to see, but check them out while you can. Does any one know when the movie opens in the theaters?
Here is a wonderful featurette about James Cameron’s Avatar. The featurette offers more details about the story, how the story developed and where the characters have been and where they are headed.
Angelina Jolie is the lead actress for the movie The Tourist, which is set to start production in February 2010. It looks like Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck will be the director for the Spyglass thriller.
The Tourist will be the first movie for von Donnersmarck since the German director’s 2006 breakout The Lives of Others, which won the Academy Award for foreign-language film.
Jolie just wrapped up Phillip Noyce’s Salt. So, shes ready to play a female Interpol agent who draws an unwitting American tourist into her attempt to locate a criminal who was once her lover. Worthington, the Australian actor who next appears as the star of the James Cameron-directed Avatar, is to play the American tourist.
The film is a remake of the 2005 French thriller Anthony Zimmer. Julian Fellowes penned the original script that was rewritten by Valkyrie scribe Christopher McQuarrie.
Sam Worthington in Clash of the Titans appears on the cover of Empire Magazine’s next issue. In the article you will see lots of pictures and the scoop on all the cast and crew, starting with director Louis Leterrier to Gemma Arterton. Arternon plays the goddess.
Clash of the Titanspromises to be more gritter and dirtier. I am sure the CGI will be awesome!
Empire Magazine is calling the movie 2010’s hottest blockbuster, but I don’t know. Seeing is believing.
There really, REALLY, were a lot of plot holes in Terminator: Salvation–my personal favorite is how Skynet couldn’t manage to make a better Terminator than the Sam Worthington model despite the fact that the Sam Worthington model existed BEFORE Skynet did. And Sam Worthington, meanwhile, can see all those plot holes himself. And he hates himself for them. Check THIS out–oh, I cleaned it up a bit for general consumption, but I think you’ll still follow what’s being said:
“If there was a big 10 ton robot coming outside that gas station, surely we would f**kin’ hear it! And I missed that! So now I’m going to be a bit f**kin’ better when I’m going through my scripts because now I feel like an idiot for not turning to McG [and saying something].”
Of course, some would say that he was possibly encouraged to miss it, by a large paycheck or a role in a big movie, and now he’s coming back to work around the backlash.
But it’s entirely possible that he really DID miss all the plot holes, is actually now contrite and does plan to read his scripts better. Either way, it’s a pretty entertaining picture that makes great news.
I find it fascinating how the development of movies progress or digress as actors, directors and writers attached themselves and unattached themselves from the projects.
An interesting progression is the development of Tourist, Charlize Theron and Sam Worthington are the final top actors to play the key roles in the film to be directed by Bharat Nalluri.
If you have been following the movie’s development, you would have known that Tom Cruise was once attached. Now, Thereon, who has been with the project for quite some time has another good looking actor. Worthington last starred in Terminator Salvation and next in James Cameron’s Avatar. He is even working on Clash of the Titans right now.
Where did Cruise go? He’s moved on to an untitled project with James Mangold at Fox.
Sam Worthington tells EW.com that he’s going to make wearing a skirt in Clash of the Titans as manly as possible. I think the superstar stud is doing just that. For more information about the movie, which premieres March 2010, click on the Worthington’s biceps.
Sam Worthington is definitely making a name for himself as a movie star, super stud with the recent release of TerminatorSalvation and Avatar in the wings for a 2009 holiday release. This first official photo of him as Perseus in Clash of the Titans directed by Leterrier gets my muscles twitching with its grit and fury. First Showing posted this from a scanned picture off the movie magazine Empire.
The script by Lawrence Kasdan perks my curiosity. Kasdan is nearly my favorite screenwriter while being an excellent director. Sure he did Raiders of the Lost Ark, but Body Heat, The Big Chill, Bodyguard and the original Star Wars are great stories of pure entertainment.
These mythical stories are heroic journeys ideal for a good read or the big screen. Titans tells the story of a god raised as a man, Perseus, who is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. As a last ditch effort, Perseus leads a mission to conquer Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and give free rein to hell on earth. Perseus leads a courageous band of warriors as they set off on a journey deep into forbidden worlds, battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts. Perseus will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.
James Cameron here talking about Avatar and working with Sam Worthington who stars in Terminator Salvation. Cameron speaks well of Worthington and offers some insight in to his latest venture in filmmaking.
Number 4 Trailer for Terminator Salvationlooks awesome. Who is Blair Williams kissing? Sam Worthington or Christian Bale. I am guessing Worthington, who is a robot?!. Anyway, this movie going to combust the movie theaters. Summer movies are here!
