There apparently has been quite a bit of misinformation making its rounds on the internet about Transformers 2, and the film’s co-writer Roberto Orci addressed some of them on TFW2005.
Orci stated that “Soundwave” won’t be a pick-up truck, despite what rumors have been pointing to, but quite interestingly doesn’t rule out the bot as being a truck of some kind. He also stated that the “Fallen” in the title may be a robot, or just a synonym for the defeated side, keeping it quite ambiguous. There will also be more fight scenes this time around – they will also be longer than before. Finally, he noted that we might see a Decepticon who is loyal to Megatron’s cause, though don’t expect it to be “Tidal Wave”, as the writers couldn’t find any way to integrate him in the story.
Dubbed Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the sequel hits theaters June 26, 2009.
