And yet another victim has been claimed by Piranha 3D, as THR sends word that Cody Longo has joined the upcoming remake’s cast.
He joins other cast members Elisabeth Shue, Adam Scott, Ving Rhames and Richard Dreyfuss who confront a lake filled with flesh-eating fish after an earthquake. Longo is set to play Todd Dupree, a high school jock and self-absorbed creep, according to the site.

Entertainment Weeekly reports that Jerry O’Connell has joined the cast of Piranha 3D for the Weinstein Company.
He joins cast members Elisabeth Shue, Jessica Szohr, Ving Rhames and others.
The remake is set around Lake Victoria where scores of man-eating fish have been set free courtesy of underwater tremors.
Filming begins next Monday at Lake Havasu, Arizona.

From E! Online comes word that Gossip Girl star Jessica Szohr has joined the upcoming horror remake Piranha 3D.
In development at Dimension Films, the movie will see Szohr play an young townie caught up in the excitement of co-eds who have descended upon the town for spring break. What they don’t know is that the town’s lake has been overrun by man-eating razor-toothed fish, which means awesome on-screen deaths.
The remake also stars Elisabeth Shue, Ving Rhames, Adam Scott, Richard Dreyfuss, Dina Meyer, Brooklyn Proulx, Quinn Lord and Riley Steele.
Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes) helms the pic. Shoting starts in Arizona later this month.
