After the gigantic success of “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” back in 2002, Nia Vardalos and John Corbett reunite for this romantic comedy, “I Hate Valentine’s Day”. Genevieve (Vardalos) is the owner of the Brooklyn florist Roses for Romance, who should welcome this particular holiday. However, heartache has kept her from serious relationships.
Meanwhile, new restaurateur Greg (Corbett) doesn’t know how male-female relationships are supposed to work, so he remains unmarried. When the two pair up, they didn’t count on love entering the picture. Writer-actress Vardalos makes her directorial debut with “I Hate Valentine’s Day”. Rated PG-13. Limited release, opens July 3.
