Okay, you know that TV show that keeps showing up on MTV, about the most spoiled kids on earth who start screaming that they want a patently ridiculous sweet sixteen party and won’t stop hyperbolically whining until they get one? The one that’s so horrible that, when South Park made its parody, they had to make Satan play the part of the girl?
Just in case you were idly wondering what it’d be like to silence one of those unpleasant little girls via the simple expedient of a fire axe to her open mouth mid-whine, MTV’s going to rip itself off and give you just what you wanted–My Super Psycho Sweet 16.
This will premiere–where else?–on MTV October 23rd following a limited theatrical run, and features a girl about to have one of these repugnant parties, when the class outcast makes a play for the party girl’s ex boyfriend. This by itself would be boring as all hell until the class outcast’s father, who conveniently just happens to be a serial killer, crashes the party and does a little redecorating–in arterial red.
My head hurts just thinking about it. Trying to review it would be either the most fun I’ve had in months or like waxing my own back. A clip from this train wreck in waiting is below.
A rumor had been making the rounds on the Internet for the last couple of days that Dimension Films had let the film rights to Sin City 2 expire.
It was also suggested that the movie would be financed by a private equity group and that an announcement would be expected soon.
The story has been debunked by MTV today, who carries an official statement from Weinstein’s attorney Bert Fields: “TWC’s rights to produce sequels to Sin City remain intact as they always have been. Any suggestion to the contrary is complete hogwash.”
But it still doesn’t answer the vital question: when do we get to see it in theaters?

One of my favorite authors Clive Barker recently spoke to MTV, revealing that he is up for remakes of his movies, including Hellraiser and Candyman, noting that as long as there is a good story to be told, the characters can be revisited many times.
He goes on to say that the last few Hellraiser movies went and used the character to make money with no story, and that is the reason they didn’t work. Barker is reportedly excited for the upcoming remake.
The writer also talked about the PG-13 rating that has found its way into horror movies lately.
"It’s one of the most disgusting developments in the last few years; the whole notion of a PG-13 horror movie to me is a contradiction in terms," he said. "It’s like having a XXX Disney picture. It doesn’t work."

MTV viewers are about to find out that you can run and you can hide but when the police catch up with you, you’d better have your story straight. The network will give the phrase “You’re so busted” a whole new meaning in a daily dose of police busts and outrageous infractions with the series premiere of “Busted.”
