I came across this production still from the movie Where The Wild Things Are directed by Spike Jonze.

Twilight HD Exclusive Trailer

I wonder how this movie will do at the box office with a predominately tween audience. The story is full of action, romance and conflict, but it’s not for the younger kids.

The voiceover says, “This year…,” so we are getting the International trailer a little early with the July 2009 release date.  You’ll notice new footage such as the upbeat moments, romance, magic, darkness and lots of fire.

A bit of irony don’t you think?  Comedian falling to his death with the smiley face.

Congratulations to Aya, Post #88, and Rose Roberts, Post #125, you both won “Blindness” book.

The movie Blindness is based on Jose Saramago’s book “Blindness.” The story allows the readers to embrace the idea of humanity for those who are forced to rely on each other when their sight has left them. The blindness is a while glare, which results in chaos, degradation and lack of civility.

I have two copies of the book “Blindness” by Saramago.  As we all know, the book is never like the movie.  Although you may find some similarities.

Pharaoh my be Will Smith’s next role.

We are going ancient with Pharaoh Taharqa who battled Assyrain invaders in Egypt in the story The Last Pharaoh.

According to Variety, Smith brought the pharaoh story to Randall Wallace of Braveheart. He is set to write the story that centers on Taharqa battles with Esarhaddon, Assyrain leader, around 677B.C.

It looks like negotiations are moving forward for a sequel to Spike Lee’s Inside Man. Universal has placed Terry George in the writer’s seat with Lee set to come back and direct.

Currently called Inside Man 2, the characters played by Clive Owens, bank robber, and Denzel Washington, negotiator, remain in the sequel. However, Lee wants the script to be high-dynamic. Even more than the original.

Lee thought the original script was good but he wants it to be even better with a new high-tension situation.

Fort McCoy is based on actual events during WW II. The story pivots on a barber who moves with his family during WWII to a POW camp in Wisconsin. His children are the sole youngsters on the base — save for a German teenager who forms a bond that crosses language barriers with the barber’s little girl.

Eric Stoltz, Brenda Fehr, Camryn Manheim, Lyndsy Fonseca, Seymour Cassel and Kate Connor star in the independent war drama with a $1 million budget that is filming in Wisconsin.
