Michael Sheen looks so much like Brian Clough in this trailer. The Damned United appears to be a great film to watch. The movie opens as a limited release, starting October 9, 2009.

I’m not exactly sure how it happened, but there will in fact be an Underworld 4, and it will be in 3-D.
Well, okay…maybe I DO know how it happened…it probably had a lot to do with the fact that the third one brought in almost a hundred million dollars and had a shooting budget of roughly one third that much, so it’s a money-maker, which means they’re going to move heaven and earth to do more of it. They’re looking at a 2011 release date on this, so plenty of time for news to come out.
There’s not much word yet as to plot or even casting–we’ll let you know when we’ve got something more to say on that–but if we were to hazard a guess (which of course, we will!), Bill Nighy and Michael Sheen would be on the short list, with either Kate Beckinsale or Rhona Mitra coming back in to handle the lead female vampire role. I personally agree with the Rhona crowd, as Beckinsale was only peripherally around for the last one–why would she be back for the new one?
Ah well–lots to keep our eyes on in the near future!

Moving to the opposite side of the spectrum from Underworld, actor Michael Sheen has joined the cast of upcoming Twilight sequel New Moon.
The film focuses on Bella being drawn into the world of werewolves while threatened by the Volturi, an Italy-based coven of vampires.
Sheen previously played leader of the werewolves in Underworld, but will take on the role of Aro, the leader of the Volturi, in the upcoming film.
Shooting has already begun last month in Vancouver.

Dennis Quaid is set to star as President Clinton with Julianne Moore playing Hillary Clinton, and the ever so often Tony Blair, Michael Sheen, will portray the
British Prime Minister in The Special Relationship, an HBO film about the irreplaceable and sometimes turbulent political relationship between the newly inaugurate PM and the U.S. president.
The film isn’t scheduled to go to production yet. The film denotes the directing debut of “Frost/Nixon” playwright Peter Morgan, who wrote the screenplay.
I am sure all these actors and Morgan will pull off a delightful and insightful movie.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans delves into the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires, known as Death Dealers, and the barbaric Lycans, known as werewolves. A young Lycan, Lucian (Michael Sheen), emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor (Bill Nighy), the cruel vampire king who has persecuted them for hundreds of years. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, the beautiful vampire Sonja (Rhona Mitra), in his battle to free the Lycans from their brutal enslavement.
What a kick it will be to see Michael Sheen as a werewolf!

Take a look at the Underworld: Rise of the Lycans trailer and see if you were as surprised, but delighted, as I was to see Michael Sheen playing Lucian, so wild and a such a Spartan-esque body. We are used to seeing him as Tony Blair, mild manner, in a dark blue suit. Lucian is the whole other side of the specturm for Sheen. Rhona Mitra seems to hold her own with Sheen as the main focus of the vampires. The versatile Bill Nighy plays her father.

More players are added to the movie Unthinkable. The newest cast members include Brandon Routh, Gil Bellows, Martin Donovan and Carrie-Anne Moss. They join Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Sheen in the suspense thriller.
An American Muslim man (Sheen) claims to have three nuclear bombs planted throughout the United States in cities. Routh and Bellows are members of an FBI anti-terrorism team run by Agent Brody (Moss). A black-ops agent (Jackson) helps as they are assigned by an FBI director (Donovan) to interrogate an American Muslim.
I am looking forward to seeing Michael Sheen in this role — it should be good — far from playing Tony Blair.

British actor Michael Sheen has a busy line up as he joins Samuel L. Jackson on the thriller Unthinkable and will also appear in Tim Burton’s re-imagining of classic children’s story Alice in Wonderland.
According to Variety, Gregor Jordan will direct Unthinkable; a story that takes a look at the ethics of torture after a terrorist threatening to detonate nuclear devices in the U.S. is questioned by a black-operations interrogator and an FBI agent, Carrie-Ann Moss.
Filming begins shooting this month.
Sheen will have a role in Alice in Wonderland, it’s not disclosed yet.
An important point that Variety noted about Michael Sheen: both films are a change in direction for Sheen, who has made a name for himself playing real-life characters to critical acclaim.
Sheen stars as British TV personality David Frost in Ron Howard’s upcoming Frost/Nixon. He portrayed former British Prime Minister Tony Blair in The Deal, which I wrote about and Screenhead sponsored a Giveaway, and The Queen, both of which were directed by Stephen Frears.
In The Damned United he plays legendary English soccer coach Brian Clough. The film is in post-production.
Sheen may also reprise his role as Blair in Morgan’s The Special Relationship, an intimate look at the former prime minister’s relationships with U.S. presidents Clinton and George W. Bush.
