‘Body of Lies’ opens October 10th, starring Leonard Dicaprio and Russell Crowe. Ridley Scott directed the film which deals with CIA operatives and terrorism.
It looks like Leonardo DiCaprio has a strong desire to produce a movie along the lines of the popular television series by Rod Sterling called Twilight Zone.
Apparently, DiCaprio is putting the feelers out to see if anyone wants to pitch an idea based on Sterling’s show because DiCaprio has commented in the past that “Twilight Zone” is his favorite television show.
Body of Lies is directed by Ridley Scott staring Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe. The film comes from the novel of the same title by David Ignatius. The story centers on DiCaprio’s character as a CIA operative who goes to Jordan to find a high-ranking terrorist. Crowe is a manipulative CIA boss. Mind games get played between the two characters. Quentin Tarantino and Weinstein Co.’s Inglorious Bastards might prove fruitful with Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio for the lead roles. Tarantino wants Pitt to play the key role of Aldo Raine and DiCapro to play Hans Landa.
The story takes place during WW II, so filming is likely to take place in Germany and France.
The director met with Pitt in France today and will meet with DiCapro on Thursday. So, keep your fingers cross, it’s being to look like a bankable movie.
