Keira Knightley’s fan club, in a correspondence with her agent, has learned a few things about the actress’s schedule.
They offer word that she is no longer attached to the new adaptation of King Lear, a classic play by William Shakespeare, as the entire project has been cancelled. She will also not appear in Tulip Fever, which was also canned.
She will however play the part of Lillian Palmer in London Boulevard, which is currently being shot. Finally, despite reports to the contrary, Knightley is still not confirmed for the My Fair Lady remake.
The Departedscribe William Monahan is set to make his directorial debut by adapting the novel London Boulevardby Ken Bruen and Keira Knightly and Colin Farrell are set to star.
The story is a crime novel that is set to start filming this summer in and around London.
Farrell plays a South London criminal who, after release from prison, tries to give up the gangster life by becoming a handyman for a reclusive young actress. The Variety report isn’t clear on who Knightly will play.
The Beautiful and the Damned has John Curran set to direct period drama starring Keira Knightley.
The story is based on the turbulent marriage of alcoholic writer F. Scott Fitzgerald and his mercurial wife Zelda Sayre, which Knightley will play.
