The cast of ensemble comedy The Kids Are All Right has been livened up with fresh meat in the forms of Annette Bening, Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, Josh Hutcherson and Mia Wasikowska.
The film will revolve around a brother and sister (played by Hutcherson and Wasikowska) who set out to find their same-sex parents’ sperm donor (played by Ruffalo). However, the family dynamic is upset when he enters their lives.
Bening and Moore play the parents.
The project has already started shooting with Lisa Cholodenko occupying the seat of the director. It was written by Cholodenko and Stuart Bloomberg.
I am impressed with this cast: Annette Bening, Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, Josh Hutcherson and Mia Wasikowska are set to star in The Kids Are All Right. Bening and Moore play wife and wife, same-set parents, with Ruffalo the father of the son (Hutcherson) and daughter (Wasikowska) as the sperm donor.
Director Lisa Cholodenko started shooting yesterday from the script she co-wrote with Stuart Blumberg.
Movie pivots on the brother and sister who set out to find their same-sex parents’ (Bening and Moore) sperm donor. This completely upsets their family dynamic once he (Ruffalo) enters their lives.
It’s hard to tell if this is a drama or comedy or both.
Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson and Amanda Seyfried will star together in Chloe directed by an Atom Egoyan.
The thriller follows Moore who plays a successful doctor with a sneaking suspicion her husband (Neeson) is cheating. She decides to test his devotion by hiring an escort (Seyfried) to seduce him. Complications arise from the doctor’s scheme, which places her family in danger.
Erin Cressida Wilson wrote the script. Shooting starts February 9 in Toronto.
The Blindness new trailer tells you more about the story. I am captivated and want to see the movie. Here are a few review quotes that have recently been published: “Julianne Moore is brilliant in the lead role, a smart woman who figures out quickly that her secret is a commodity, but something she can use for a greater good.” — Incontention.com “The film received a fairly prolonged standing ovation at last night’s screening,…” — Cinematical
Savage Grace as described by IFC, is based on the award winning book, tells the incredible true story of Barbara Daly, who married above her class to Brooks Baekeland, the dashing heir to the Bakelite plastics fortune. Beautiful, red-headed and charismatic, Barbara is still no match for her well-bred husband. The birth of the couple’s only child, Tony, rocks the uneasy balance in this marriage of extremes. Tony is a failure in his father’s eyes. As he matures and becomes increasingly close to his lonely mother, the seeds for a tragedy of spectacular decadence are sown. Spanning 1946 to 1972, the film unfolds in six acts. The Baekelands’ pursuit of social distinction and the glittering ‘good life’ propels them across the globe. We follow their heady rise and tragic fall against the backdrop of New York, Paris, Cadaques, Mallorca and London.
Julianne Moore takes the role completely. She is amazing, compelling as she takes the character and just drives full speed ahead.
