Twitch posted a piece on the concept art of Astro Boy the other day. I will be posting some of the work in the next day or so. Imagi Studios is forging the work, which I find very interesting. One piece shows Astro Boy running toward a large robot that is slightly familiar to Miyazaki’s Castle in the Sky.

Three new screenshots from the teaser trailer for Gatchaman have been posted on Imagi Animation’s creative director Felix Ip’s blog. The shots show the ISO soldiers, as well as a spectacular shot of someone playing a yoyo and a nice spaceship.
Gatchaman is based on the ‘70s Japanese television show Science Ninja Team Gatchaman that shows a world grappling with environmental and technological issues. The story focuses on five reluctant heroes whose genetic code makes them Earth’s only hope of defeating extra-terrestrial invaders.
The film is due out early next year.
