There’s no denying that Heroes star Hayden Panettiere is one of the prettiest actresses in Hollywood at the moment. And every comic book nerd feel the same, flooding Google with daily image searches in the hope that they may find a slipped nipple, or the Holy Grail- a sex tape.
Well they don’t have to worry because apparently in her upcoming movie I Love You Beth Cooper, she appears stark naked. The scene, which will no doubt be flowing across torrent networks from opening night, sees her dropping her towel in the changing rooms in front of her nerdy admirer. E Online got the scoop, although those delighted with prospect will be disappointed to know it’s only her back. According to the article Panettiere has no plans to go full frontal. That’s good to know, E Online.
While Panettiere is probably not to blame, this just feels like a cheap attempt to promote the film. I Love You Beth Cooper looks like the most generic teen dating/nerd-gets-hot-girl film you’ll probably see. So it looks like the makers involved are doing everything they can to pull in an audience. And with this news you can guarantee that adolescent males will be creeping in for that one shot.
Not content with stopping time and generally bending the laws of physics on Heroes, Masi Oka has sold a family adventure film to DreamWorks.
Dubbed The Defenders, the story follows a group of teenagers from around the world who play a multiplayer video game, unaware of who they really are behind their avatars. However, they are forced to come together for a real adventure, inadvertently becoming heroes in the process.
Gary Whitta is writing the script, while D.J. Caruso (Eagle Eye) is negotiating to direct.
The future was looking grim for Heroes, seeing as how ratings have been continuously dropping for the once revered television series. However, the show has found its savior in the form of its network NBC who plans to bring the series back for a fourth season.
This was confirmed by NBC Entertainment President Angela Bromstad who said that the network plans to order 18-20 episodes of the show for the next season. They are also privately discussing setting a series end date allowing the writers time to develop the storylines in such a way that would wrap things up properly. It likely won’t happen next season, though.
Bromstad also said that the show continues to perform well among the core 18-49 demographic; it also does well internationally.
Marvel animated feature yet – HULK VS. Make way for the clash of Marvel’s mightiest heroes, as Bruce Banner’s alter-ego takes on fan favorites Wolverine and Thor in two epic, all new, action-packed animated films — Hulk Vs. Wolverine and Hulk Vs. Thor.
Above is a dodgy video of the upcoming Star Trek reboot, shown during a Quantum of Solace screening. Fans around the world have been buzzing with this new footage, especially of Chris Pine as Kirk, Heroes’s Zach Quinto as Spock, and for a split second, Simon Pegg as Scotty.
Needless to say, the footage will be removed shortly, so enjoy it while you can. It seems reboots are all the rage these days, with Bond having its highest opening ever in the US and UK, as well as The Dark Knight breaking box office records. And the reboot formula is certainly evident in JJ Abrams take on the origins of the Enterprise. Now, I’m no Trekkie, but my understanding of the show in all its incarnations was that it was rather cerebral. Sure, there were emotional bursts, but the show was more about moral dilemmas, as opposed to visceral emotional ones. Data processing and logic were the weapons of choice (with an occasional lazer fight). But here, Abrams has moved in an entirely different direction. We get race cars, fast-paced fights, and sultry sex scenes! It will be interesting to gauge the response to this footage. Will this new style turn off Trekkies, and perhaps make more money by appealing to the masses, or will this MTV-reimagining of the sci-fi show please no one by trying to please everyone? Time will tell.
To promote the upcoming third season of Heroes, NBC has released some images, showing our favorite characters in "heroic" poses. Check out this page for character shots.
The new season starts September 22 with an hour-long compilation show that will lead into a two hour premiere of the new season.
The third season is said to focus on a group of superpowered bad guys who will surely be squaring off against the heroes we have come to know till now.
NBC has released the following promo images for the third season of "Heroes," subtitled "Villains." The new season kicks-off on Monday, September 22 (8-9 p.m. ET) with an hour-long compilation show that will lead into an all new, two-hour premiere (9-11 p.m. ET).
Robert Forster is joining the cast of NBC’s Heroes. Sources have confirmed that Heroes has tapped Forster to play Nathan and Peter’s presumed-dead pops, Arthur Petrelli in Entertainment Weekly.
Given Heroes‘ penchant for time travel though, there’s no telling if we’ll see Arthur in the present day, via flashback, or during one of Hiro’s little excursions. Another unknown: Whether Arthur will use his powers (you know he’s got ‘em) for good or evil.
Rumors of Arthur’s possible “resurrection” this season have been burning up the Internets for months. And while it’s not clear WHEN Forster will first turn up, at press tour last month, his on-screen widow, Cristine Rose, hinted that a bombshell would be dropped in the two-hour premiere on Sept. 22. “There’s a secret that comes out that if you’re a true fan, you’re just going to DIE,” she teased. “It’s a good Angela secret, and it’s [not about] her powers.”
Well, considering the first hour of the premiere was screened at Comic-Con, and, per multiple eyewitnesses, no such Angela secret was revealed, it’s safe to say the big reveal will take place in Hour 2. Of course, whether or not said reveal is related to Arthur is also a big unknown.
