g-force

G-Force out maneuvered Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by a $32 million compared to Harry’s $30 million. Kiddies love animals and parents need to take them to the movies, but I am still surprised that guinea pigs out performed students of Hogwarts.  The Ugly Truth came in third with a strong showing of $27 million.

I read all the Harry Potter books. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Princelooks unbelievably true to J.K. Rowling’s story.  The relationships in the stories alone make the movie  worthwhile.  Harry’s and Dumbledore’s relationship grows very strong in this story, which sets us up nicely for Harry Potter 7 and 8. It’s wonderful how each actor has returned to play their character.  This movie is a great lesson about friendship and communication.  If you can’t tell, I am excited about this movie.

We have to wait until July 2009 to see the next installment of Harry Potter, but the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 2009 calendar is hitting the shelves as I write.  You can go to Sntich Seeker site and view some the pictures from the calendar — what fun!  Below is my favorite picture of them all.

As a note:  I saw Ballet Shoes DVD over the weekend, which stars Emma Watson and a few other actors who are cast in Harry Potter’s films as well.  Great film. I recommend it for anyone who has a daughter in ballet, theater or any performance art.
